This position reports to the Warehouse Manager. Responsible for performing various duties which include researching, analyzing, and correcting inventory discrepancies; generating reports, cycle counting, residuals, and other inventory control related functions. Responsible for the direction of inventory department WH2/3 employees. Additional duties include maintaining workflow, supporting other departments as necessary, understanding of all inventory functions, and training new hires.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accurate records.

  • Submit reports in a timely manner.

  • Cycle count all locations (Reserve, Case Pick, and Active). Research errors for trends and corrective action.

  • Prioritize and create cycle count tasks.

  • Ability to understand and follow system designated direction by RF to ensure accurate selection and movement of product.

  • Ability to give direction and follow-up to ensure assignments are complete.

  • Accurately and consistently review all compliance guidelines as indicated by the system

  • Direct workforce during the shift.

  • Ensure all personnel are following Inventory SOP’s.

  • Motivate and keep employees focused as well as monitor employee’s timely return from break and lunch.

  • Accurately document all variances on cycle counts, cases in 10 and 15 status, and mixed location.

  • Ensure SOP’s are accurate and up to date.

  • Complete system transactions for shipping loads.

  • Investigate high scrap rates for work orders.

  • Close and actualize all work orders.

  • Reconcile rework activities.

  • Assist with month end closing by researching and clearing negative balances.

  • Provide Warehouse Manager with feedback for employee performance reviews.

  • Maintain working relationships with planners, deployment, traffic, and other corporate partners.

  • Maintain appropriate inventory of Pallets and order when necessary.

  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety rules including safe operation of equipment.

  • Adhere to local, State, and Federal regulations inclusive but not limited to OSHA, DOT, and EEOC.

  • Attend and participate in operational meetings as required.

  • Maintain business confidentiality relative to picking, promotions, distribution methods, inventory, customer lists and financial reports.

  • Ability to read, count, write, and perform simple math calculations

  • Responsible for the careful handling of all products, avoiding damage of any type.

  • Ability to learn technical material to accomplish necessary objectives.

  • Work requires moderate physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity.

  • While performing duties of this job, employee will regularly stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and get on and off equipment repeatedly throughout the shift.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma / GED

  • Minimum of one (1) year of related experience in a warehouse environment.

  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency

  • Willingness to become certified in the operation of various types of warehouse equipment, including a forklift

  • Good oral and written communication skills; bi-lingual preferred.

  • Available to work OT, various shifts, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to become certified in Hazardous Material handling

  • Able to work with, create, and change SOPs for process and quality improvements

  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems

  • Ability to work as part of a team
