Warehouse Associate - 1st Shift

Location: Wamac

SCHEDULE9AM - 530PM M-FPAY $20.50/HR POSITION SUMMARY Loads outbound trucks, unloads and puts away inbound merchandise, and performs clean-up duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Unloads materials from our customers’ and suppliers’ trucks.

Put away or stock inbound materials.

Pulls customers’ orders from inventory on hand.

Load company and customer vehicles with outbound materials.

Safely operate a forklift to assist in handling of materials.

Sweep and clean warehouse and pick up trash.

Observe all safety rules: (i.e. safety glasses, ear plugs, Lock Out/Tag Out, etc.).Assist in counting inventory.

Checks in merchandise from receiving documentation.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required

Ability to read and understand written instructions and shipping documents

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Team-oriented with good communication skills

Able to pass a forklift operator’s test following standard training

Previous experience with building materials is a plus

Physical Requirements:

This position requires frequent physical activity, including:

Standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, bending, and climbing stairs/ladders

Lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs. frequently; occasionally over 100 lbs.

Frequent pushing/pulling of up to 100 lbs.

Constant use of hands/arms/legs for material handling and machine operation

Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role in a warehouse setting. Appropriate safety gear (e.g., safety glasses, ear protection) is required at all times.
