Position: Division of Education Imperial Valley Lecturer Pool 2026-2027

Overview

The Division of Education at Imperial Valley, San Diego State University, is accepting applications for its 2026‑2027 part‑time lecturer pool. Temporary appointments may be either full‑time or part‑time, with frequent short‑notice appointments beginning in mid‑August (Fall) and mid‑January (Spring). Initial appointments are typically one semester or one academic year, renewable upon satisfactory evaluation and continued availability.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate courses in the following areas:
    Dual Language and English Learner Education, Elementary and Secondary Teacher Education, and Liberal Studies.
  • Plan, deliver, and assess instruction, providing timely, constructive feedback to students.
  • Maintain a professional and inclusive learning environment in accordance with university standards.
Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in Bilingual Education, Education, Special Education, or a related field.
  • University teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated currency in subject matter.
Salary Range
  • Lecturer A: $5,507 – $6,677
  • Lecturer B: $6,221 – $13,224
  • Lecturer C: $6,825 – $14,523
  • Lecturer D: $8,593 – $15,211
