Essential Responsibilities
- Lead development of advanced power converter projects from concept to fully validated solutions that meet specified requirements.
- Recognized technical expert in Automation & Controls technology related to Power Generation, Distribution, and Balance of Plant applications, including marine and other industrial systems engineering design/application SW.
- Lead design and implementation of optimized control architectures that meet product requirements, considering existing components and future control platform evolution.
- Establish a total quality management strategy to assure early involvement on manufacturing process/producibility matters.
- Improve engineering process efficiency through development and use of standard engineering solutions.
- Drive lean mindset to provide optimum technical solutions for projects.
- Enable Sales to build opportunity pipelines for products and systems by enhancing specifications with customers and Design Consultants.
- Create power electronics models for use by power systems engineers to conduct power system and power quality studies.
- Support sales and business development by reviewing customer requirements and highlighting differences/gaps between those requirements and power converter capabilities.
- Collaborate with global GEV PC&S P&L organizations to understand power converter technologies produced at those factories that can satisfy customers in North America.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in automation and power systems projects and integration of controls, Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or PhD with minimum 5 years of experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience working in system engineering design, application, and testing.
Minimum 2 years of experience using Real Time Simulators.

Benefits and CompensationRelocation assistance provided. Pay range $ – $, with geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
