The Industrial Engineering Technical Manager serves as a critical technical leader responsible for translating supply strategy into actionable, data-driven deliverables across the network. This role owns capacity modeling, capital planning, and capital governance processes while ensuring robust supply support for innovation and growth. Operating as an individual contributor, this role combines deep analytical expertise with cross-functional influence to drive decision quality, optimize asset utilization, and enable scalable growth.
The position also serves as a peer mentor to Process Engineers, elevating technical rigor and standardization across the function.
- Own end-to-end capacity modeling across technologies and sites, ensuring alignment between demand, supply capabilities, and strategic growth plans.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve capacity models and scenarios (what-if analyses) to enable proactive decision-making.
- Lead capital planning activities, including project identification, prioritization, and long-range capital roadmap development.
- Support and execute Capital Appropriation Budget (CAB) processes, including business case development, financial modeling, and cross-functional alignment.
- Establish and reinforce capital governance standards, ensuring consistency, rigor, and transparency in investment decisions.
- Provide analytical support to supply, innovation, sustainability, and S&O processes, ensuring capacity readiness for new product launches and portfolio changes.
- Partner closely with Operations, Finance, and R&D to ensure optimal COGS, asset utilization, and supply responsiveness.
- Build and maintain reporting and metrics to track capacity utilization, capital performance, productivity, and sustainability outcomes.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities in modeling, planning processes, and data accuracy.
- Act as a technical thought partner and peer mentor to Process Engineers, providing guidance on models, tools, and analytical approaches.
- Support development of standard work, tools, and best practices across the IE function.
- Other duties as assigned or necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field (required).
- 5+ years of relevant experience in industrial engineering, capacity planning, or manufacturing analytics.
- Advanced expertise in capacity modeling, data analysis, and scenario planning.
- Experience supporting capital project justification and financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, asset utilization, and production flows.
- Strong understanding of cost structures, capital efficiency, and financial or risk based tradeoffs.
- Proficiency in data tools (e.g., Excel advanced modeling, Power BI, or similar analytics platforms).
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
- High level of ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement mindset.

Base Salary Range: $145,000- $170,000
