Lineman, Leader

Under general supervision, leads and participates in the work of an assigned crew and/or assists supervisory staff with day-to-day coordination activities of an assigned work unit; performs a variety of skilled line and power work associated with the construction and maintenance of low-to-high voltage and energized overhead and underground electrical transmission and distribution lines. Performs other duties as assigned.

High school equivalency and successful completion of a four-year state certified lineman apprenticeship program, attainment of journeyman certificate and five years of power construction, maintenance and repair experience.

A valid Class "A" driver license issued by the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles is required. Rubber Gloves and Hot Sticks Certification required. A negative drug test is required as a condition of employment.
