Line Construction - IV

Under general supervision, leads and participates in the work of an assigned crew and/or assists supervisory staff with day-to-day coordination activities of an assigned work unit; performs a variety of skilled line and power work associated with the construction and maintenance of low to high voltage and energized overhead and underground electrical transmission and distribution lines. Performs other duties as assigned.

High school equivalency and successful completion of a four-year state certified lineman apprenticeship program, attainment of journeyman certificate and five years of power construction, maintenance and repair experience.

A valid Class "A" driver license issued by the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles is required. Rubber Gloves and Hot Sticks Certification required.

A negative drug test is required as a condition of employment. Employees must notify supervision when applying for a position.
