CHILDCARE ASSISTANT - Hamilton Island Kindy

Hamilton Island Kindy has an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Childcare Assistant to join our dedicated team. Working with the youngest residents of Hamilton Island requires commitment, flexibility, and a warm, positive nature to match our year-round sunshine.

This is a live on island role, working within our supportive and community-focused early learning environment.

As a Childcare Assistant, you will support the delivery of engaging and nurturing early learning programs. You will play an important role in fostering a safe, stimulating, and fun environment where children can thrive.

• Assist the Group Leaders and Director in delivering engaging and interactive learning programs

• Support children’s development and help build their confidence and self-esteem

• Create a positive, safe, and fun environment where learning happens naturally

• Assist with preparation and service of food and beverages as required

• Contribute to maintaining a safe, compliant, and welcoming centre

You are passionate about early childhood education and bring both experience and a caring, enthusiastic approach to your work. You thrive in a team environment and are committed to supporting children during their formative years.

• Diploma in Children’s Services - desirable

• Current Children’s First Aid Certificate, CPR and Asthma/Anaphylaxis

• Minimum 2 years practical experience in the children’s services industry

• Current Queensland Blue Card

• Queensland Child Protection Certificate (InSafe Hands)

• Red Nose Safe Sleep Certificate

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A genuine passion for working with children and a positive, energetic nature
