Adjunct Faculty

Location:

Independence High School, Independence Community College

• Organize and teach online classes as assigned.
• Deliver quality instruction that prepares students for further education and/or the workplace.
• Manage the teaching environment to serve all learners.
• Provide regular and timely evaluation feedback to students.
• Maintain student attendance records.
• Submit mid‑term and final grades.
• Participate in institutional effectiveness initiatives including assessment and evaluation.
• Demonstrate professionalism with faculty, administration, staff and students.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

• Master’s degree in the chosen discipline, or a master’s degree in a related field with 18 graduate credits in the concentration.

• Higher education teaching experience.
• Experience with the Canvas learning management platform.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, talk, hear, walk, and sit. The employee may occasionally push or lift items. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

$675 per credit hour taught
