40-hour work week, primarily during school hours (around 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

Job Summary

Reporting to and directed by the Sr. Director of Post-Secondary Programs, the Post-Secondary Student Support Coordinator partners with college campus staff to coordinate supports for students in collaboration with campus and community resources. The Student Support Coordinator works to build relationships with students and coordinate the resources they need to be self-sufficient. The Post-Secondary Student Support Coordinator responsible to help implement the vision and goals of the Agency as articulated by the President & CEO.

You Will Do

Programs & Activities

  • Lead the implementation of the Model of Integrated Student Supports.
  • This process will include building and cultivating relationships with students, campus staff, campus resources, and community partners for the delivery of services and supports.
  • Conduct a thorough review of case managed student needs and assets annually.
  • Student Support Coordinators will assess student needs, and provide supports based on those individual and unique needs.
  • Lead the goal setting process with case managed students annually.
  • In collaboration with the student and using data collected from the student needs and assets review, set a SMART goal for each case managed student.
  • Lead and coordinate the delivery of Integrated Student Supports.
  • The Student Support Coordinator will provide or broker services and supports to case managed students based on their unique needs. These services could include connecting students with career opportunities or events, attendance and classroom engagement, tutoring services, financial literacy, networking, encouraging supportive relationships, and self-sufficiency. The Student Support Coordinator will also connect students with community resources, as needed.
  • Data collection and reflection.
  • The Student Support Coordinator will collect and enter student, and support data weekly into the data management tool (Apricot
    360). With the support of their supervisor, they will regularly review data to ensure all requirements are met, and analyze data to ensure the appropriate services and supports are provided for maximum effectiveness and impact.
Other Position Functions
  • Refrains from assuming any duty that is unrelated to and/or interferes with the responsibilities of the position.
  • Manage budget and wisely monitor and utilize various resources.
  • Develops, promotes and practices teamwork in all activities.
  • Advocates, promotes and practices cultural sensitivity and responsiveness in all day-to-day interactions.
  • Other duties as assigned by the President & CEO.
What We Are Looking For
  • At least one to three years' experience in working with young adults and/or college-aged students.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with school administrators, personnel, students, parents, and the public.
  • Ability to set and maintain healthy professional boundaries.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to think, process information, and act quickly.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities yet is an effective team member.
  • Bachelor's Degree in social work, education, public administration, or related field. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
