Crisis Support Specialist
** This position works directly with our patients in the roles of observation and transportation.

Must be able to demonstrate interpersonal skills, have the ability to work with persons with mental and/or physical impairments, and possess the ability to react effectively in a wide variety of human service situations.

Starting wage is: $16.39/hour. Hours for this position are part‑time prn (as needed).

Independence has a part‑time insurance eligible shifts with set hours of 10:00am-5:00pm or 5:00pm-Midnight available.

TITLE OF POSITION: CDS Crisis Support Specialist

SUPERVISOR: CDS Supervisor/CDS Coordinator or Director

WORK SCHEDULE:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a High School Diploma or GED
  • Work independently, and be a productive part of a team
  • Completion of required trainings upon hire
  • Dependable vehicle, valid drivers license, and compliance with agencys Liability Carriers Requirements May Be Required Depending On Job assignment
  • Communicate positively and effectively with others
  • Basic proficiency in math
  • Effective utilization of basic office technology
General Responsibilities
  • 1. Transport patients depending on needs of the department.
  • 2. Available to work requested hours as needed and attend required training and mandatory meetings.
  • 3. Paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and accurately reflects progress toward goals.
  • 4. Sound judgment will be used in crisis situations and ongoing assignments.
  • 5. Maintain a positive, professional and supportive relationship with patients.
  • 6. Maintain a positive and professional relationship with Four County staff and personnel from any other agencies.
  • 7. Confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • 8. Must keep other staff informed of unusual situations regarding patients.
  • 9. Must follow professional ethics and set appropriate boundaries with patients.
  • 10. Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
  • 11. Able to represent the agency in a positive manner.
  • 12. Exhibit and promote decisions / behavior consistent with the Centers Established Vision, Mission, And Values. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Any deviations to the work schedule and all overtime must be approved in advance.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
