Custodian

To provide students and staff with a safe, attractive, clean, comfortable, and efficient learning/teaching environment.

• Clean classrooms and corridors daily.
• Keep all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation.
• Scrub and disinfect toilet floors and facilities daily.
• Wash all doors and windows at least once each year.
• Keep school premises including sidewalks and driveways neat and free of litter.
• Keep walks and steps clear during inclement weather.
• Assist in the ongoing program of general maintenance, upkeep, and repair.
• Keep an adequate supply of cleaning materials and restroom supplies on hand.
• Provide proper care and storage of equipment and supplies.
• Comply with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash and waste.
• Report damage and/or repairs needed promptly, making minor repairs as he is capable.
• Assume responsibility for the opening and closing of the building each school day.
• Perform such other tasks as may be assigned.

• Experience in school or industrial custodial services preferred.
• Technical or hands‑on experience in all phases of school or industrial cleaning preferred.
• Workkeys Bronze Level Preferred.

Salary Grade Custodian = $14.11 - $19.88 per hour. 240 days per year. 8 hours per day.
