Preventative Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:

• On-the-Job Training:
  • Undergo comprehensive on-the-job training to become proficient in equipment maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Continuously update skills and knowledge in alignment with industry best practices.
• Self-Motivation:
  • Take initiative in identifying maintenance needs and proactively address issues to prevent downtime.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
• Attitude and Punctuality:
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic in all tasks.
  • Maintain punctuality and reliability in attendance to meet job demands.
• Mechanical Aptitude:
  • Exhibit a strong mechanical inclination, troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues effectively.
  • Conduct repairs and adjustments to various heavy equipment components.
• Preventative Maintenance:
  • Execute preventative maintenance tasks on a variety of heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
  • Adhere to maintenance schedules and guidelines, conducting routine inspections and repairs.
• CDL Requirement:
  • Possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker and hazmat enorsements or be willing to add them.
  • Maintain a clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) to operate company vehicles.

Qualifications:

• Technical certifications are a plus.
• Possess a valid CDL with or be willing to obtain tanker, hazmat endorsements, and a clean MVR.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift heavy objects.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Basic computer skills for logging maintenance activities and utilizing digital resources.
• Must be 21 years of age or older

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Regular physical effort, including standing and walking, is required during a regular shift.
• Able to stoop, bend, reach with hands and arms, crouch, and kneel as required for the tanker's operation and/or maintenance.
• Possess the ability to withstand long periods of sitting when driving.
• Work with hands to operate the truck controls.
• Must have the ability to carry and lift 50 pounds.
• Maintain alertness to the motion and activities of people and other equipment on the construction site.
• Will be required to walk on uneven surfaces on the job site frequently.
• Must be able to climb in and out of the equipment safely.
• Will be required to work in varying weather conditions and environments, including hot or cold temperatures and dusty, wet, noisy, etc.
• Will be required to work on job sites close to live lanes of traffic.
