We are hiring immediately for an A&P Mechanic (Independence, KS).

What you will be doing as an A & P Mechanic (Independence, KS)

In this role, you can expect to assemble, troubleshoot, and repair airframes, engines, and systems. You ll perform essential modification work on aircraft and handle engine and propeller buildup, installation, and adjustments as needed. Join us and play a crucial role in the future of flight.

Responsibilities
  • Mechanical Duties
    :
    Diagnose malfunctions, disassemble, rework, repair, replace, reassemble, and adjust various systems to prepare aircraft for flight and delivery
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs
    :
    Perform troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, engine runs, and install service bulletins and kits on airframes and engines
  • Safety Standards
    :
    Execute tasks adhering to the highest safety standards
  • Record Keeping
    :
    Make appropriate entries in aircraft records and complete return-to-service logbook entries
  • Engine Maintenance
    :
    Conduct engine maintenance on airworthy aircraft and perform annual and continued airworthiness inspections
  • Leadership & Training
    :
    Train team members, assist in certifications, lead important projects, and drive safety or quality improvements
What you need to be successful
  • A high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level Work Keys certification is required
  • An A&P license is required
  • 3 months aircraft maintenance is helpful
  • Ability to complete task without supervision and take lead on projects is helpful
  • Ability to be team orientated, goal-driven, and action orientated is helpful
