Greenkeeper Ngāhinepōuri Golf Club

Ng≠hinepōuri Golf Club is seeking a dedicated and self‑motivated Greenkeeper to join our team in 2026. Located just 20 minutes from central Hamilton, our club is a 9‑hole country course established over 90 years ago, famous for its relaxed atmosphere and genuine country hospitality.

As our Greenkeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining our fully watered greens and fairways to ensure high standards of playability for our members and visitors.

• Turf Management: Lead daily course preparation, including mowing greens, tees, fairways, and rough.
• Maintenance: Monitor and maintain irrigation systems, apply fertilizers, and manage pest/weed control programs.
• Equipment Care: Operate and perform basic maintenance on specialized turf machinery and tractors.
• Course Presentation: Set up the course regularly by moving tee markers, cutting holes, and raking bunkers.
• Collaboration: Work alongside the Course Manager and coordinate with our dedicated volunteers.

• Experience: Proven experience in golf course greenkeeping or sports turf management.

  Skills:
  
  Sound knowledge of turf health, irrigation systems, and chemical application (Growsafe/Approved Handler certificate is mandatory).
• Reliability: Flexibility for early morning starts and rostered weekend work.
• Licensing: A full NZ Driver’s License is essential.
• Attitude: A positive, customer‑focused approach and the ability to work independently or as part of a small team.
