SUMMARY
The Supplier Quality Representative is responsible for supporting the quality assurance processes related to materials and components received from suppliers. This role involves monitoring supplier performance, assisting in quality inspection findings, and ensuring compliance with established quality standards. A successful Supplier Quality Representative should have excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to ensure that processes and products consistently meet established quality standards.
DUTIES& RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in the implementation of quality assurance protocols and procedures.
- Support investigations of nonconforming materials to verify compliance with specifications.
- Document nonconformances and assist in tracking corrective actions.
- Maintain communication with suppliers regarding quality issues and performance.
- Assist in gathering information for supplier evaluations and audits.
- Support the resolution of quality-related issues with suppliers.
- Maintain accurate records of nonconformances, and supplier performance metrics.
- Assist in preparing quality reports for management review.
- Analyze data to identify trends in supplier quality.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving supplier quality and reducing defects.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss quality improvement ideas.
- Associate's degree in supply chain management, quality management, or a related field preferred.
- OR an additional 2 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
- 2-4 years of experience in aviation quality assurance or a related role.
- Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as AS9120.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems and quality management software.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the industry.
