CHEF DE PARTIE – Rainforest Cafe / Hamilton Island

Hamilton Island is seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join the team at our staff dining facility, the Rainforest Cafe
. Located in the heart of the island, this café serves daily meals to over 1,200 employees – fuelling the people behind the exceptional guest experiences Hamilton Island is known for.

Your Role

As a Chef de Partie at Rainforest Cafe, you’ll take ownership of your section, preparing fresh, nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. You'll help deliver a diverse, rotating menu – from homestyle classics to themed nights – while maintaining high kitchen standards and working closely with the wider team.

  • Prepare and cook high-quality meals across your assigned section.
  • Assist with menu preparation, daily specials, and seasonal offerings.
  • Ensure cleanliness and food safety compliance in your area.
  • Support and guide junior staff during service.
  • Contribute to a positive and efficient team environment.
What We’re Looking For

You’re an experienced and reliable Chef with a strong work ethic, great time management, and a passion for quality food. You’re ready to take responsibility for your section and grow your skills in a dynamic kitchen.

To Be Successful, You Will Need:
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Essential).
  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Demi Chef.
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (preferred or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Flexible approach to working across breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts.
