REFRIGERATION MECHANIC – Hamilton Island
Swap the ordinary for island life. Hamilton Island is seeking a qualified Refrigeration Mechanic to join our Maintenance team in a hands-on, full-time role.
You’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems across the island, from guest facilities to staff accommodation and commercial outlets, ensuring comfort, safety and operational excellence at all times.

- Perform maintenance, repairs and installations on refrigeration and air conditioning systems across the island
- Prioritise urgent repairs to ensure guest comfort and safety
- Accurately record labour, materials and job details
- Maintain tools, equipment and vehicles in a safe and serviceable condition
- Assist other trades and team members as required
- Participate in emergency and safety response tasks when needed
You’re a qualified and reliable tradesperson who takes pride in delivering high-quality work. You can work both independently and as part of a team, communicate effectively, and remain flexible in a dynamic environment.
To be successful, you’ll need- Certificate III in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (Essential)
- National ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence (Essential)
- QLD Restricted Electrical Licence (Essential)
- Valid Manual Driver’s Licence (Essential)
- CPR / LVR certification (Essential)
- White Construction Card (Essential)
