Special Response Specialist

Overview

TFI Family Services is seeking a full-time Special Response Specialist to join our team. A High School diploma or GED and two years of experience in child and family services are required. We will teach you the rest!

Average hourly rate is $18.89 (including wage, incentives, bonuses, overtime, shift differential, etc.).

• Collaborate with case teams, the Department for Children and Families (DCF), law enforcement, and other stakeholders to locate youth who are absent from placement.
• Review case files, conduct social media searches, and contact family members and friends of the youth.
• Engage with community partners and attend multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss strategies for locating and supporting at-risk youth.
• Complete Human Trafficking assessments when necessary, ensuring that all efforts are trauma-informed and culturally sensitive.
• Document findings and maintain close communication with agencies and families.

• Passion for investigative work with compassion and empathy for challenges faced by youth in foster care.
• Organized with strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Desire to engage and advocate for at-risk youth; a self-starter dedicated to serving children and families.
