Data Specialist (Part-Time)

Starting Salary: $21.00 - $23.00 (Hourly)

We are seeking a part-time Data Specialist for the Family Preservation management team. The role is responsible for administrative support, including maintaining client records, data entry, and generating reports as needed. The incumbent will upload documents and enter data into the electronic management systems associated with Cornerstones of Care and the Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF). The position requires strict confidentiality, excellent communication and customer‑service skills, and management of sensitive records from diverse sources and stakeholders.

Reporting to the Director of Family Preservation Services, the employee will work alongside team members.

What you will do
  • Complete data entry and uploading of designated items into the Department of Children & Families and Cornerstones of Care electronic client management systems (i.e., KIDS & Avatar).
  • Organize and maintain youth files, including client records, in accordance with department, accrediting body, and other governing directives.
  • Maintain court calendar, identifying schedule discrepancies, and any other court‑related documents.
  • Audit client records using external and internal expectations laid out by Cornerstones of Care and the Department of Children and Families.
  • Prepare client files for requested audits and reviews by the Department of Children and Families.
What you will bring
  • High school diploma is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Experience working with children and families is preferred.
  • At least 21 years of age and ability to pass background check, physical, and drug screening.
  • A valid driver’s license in your state of residence, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
