Compensation & BenefitsEstimated Starting Salary Range: $150-160k. Pay commensurate with experience. Full‑time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Responsibilities- Lead the technical design of integration solutions at the application and API level, making sound architectural decisions while aligning with enterprise architecture standards.
- Provide input on integration architecture, including API‑led design, data modeling, and system interactions, while remaining hands‑on in development and delivery.
- Translate high‑level architectural guidance into scalable, maintainable Mule Soft implementations, serving as a bridge between architecture and engineering execution.
- Design, develop, and maintain Mule Soft integrations using Mule 4.x, Anypoint Studio, and Anypoint Platform components.
- Build and support APIs and integration flows using RESTful services, Data Weave, connectors, and message‑based patterns.
- Implement error handling, logging, monitoring, and resiliency patterns appropriate for mission‑critical federal systems.
- Collaborate with Salesforce developers, architects, and business stakeholders to translate integration requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Support integrations between Salesforce and downstream systems, data sources, and external partners.
- Ensure integrations comply with VA security controls, data protection standards, and audit requirements.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and release management activities.
- Maintain technical documentation, interface specifications, and operational runbooks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to integration performance, data flow, and system availability.
- Mule Soft Health Cloud Integration.
- Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
- US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust clearance.
- 8+ years of Mule Soft development experience across at least two projects.
- Bachelor’s degree + 8 years of Mule Soft or relevant software development experience.
- Mule Soft Developer Certification (Mule Soft Certified Developer – Level
1) or ability to obtain within 90 days. - Application development experience.
- Professional services or consulting experience.
- Experience in an Agile environment.
- Health data experience is strongly preferred (HL7, etc.).
- Must pass pre‑employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
- Current VA Public Trust Clearance.
- Mule Soft Certified Developer – Level 2.
- Experience developing integrations on Mule Soft Anypoint Platform (Mule 4.x) in enterprise environments.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using APIs and middleware.
- Strong Data Weave (2.x) skills and experience with transformation and mapping logic.
- Familiarity with API‑led connectivity patterns (System, Process, and Experience APIs).
- Experience supporting federal government systems or compliance‑driven environments.
- Knowledge of Dev Ops and CI/CD practices for Mule Soft deployments.
- Familiarity with FedRAMP, security controls, and data governance requirements.
