FUEL ANCILLARIES OFFICER – Hamilton Island

Reporting to the Engineering and Services team, this hands-on role plays a critical part in maintaining the safety, compliance and operational efficiency of fuel and LPG systems across Hamilton Island, Dent Island and Shute Harbour

- Carry out daily and monthly inspections of fuel and LPG systems across all sites
- Manage access to fuel and LPG storage facilities, ensuring security and inventory control
- Schedule and coordinate routine and reactive maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve fuel payment system issues
- Order, receive and securely manage fuel and LPG deliveries
- Decant and dispose of out-of-date LPG cylinders and manage associated shipments
- Support breakdowns and repairs within LPG storage facilities
- Maintain accurate records, fuel usage data and access reports
- Escort airport fuel trucks as required
- Coordinate and assist with fuel and LPG-related projects
- Ensure compliance with all maintenance, operational and environmental regulations
- Conduct fuel reconciliation and support emergency preparedness
- Train and induct staff in fuel and LPG operations
- Maintain emergency systems, spill kits and fire safety equipment
You’re a reliable, safety-conscious professional with strong mechanical knowledge and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You take pride in maintaining compliance, supporting operational continuity and working collaboratively as part of a team. You’re organised, adaptable and ready to embrace the lifestyle that comes with island living.
To be successful, you’ll need- Queensland Driver’s Licence (Essential)
- Mechanical knowledge (Essential)
- Forklift Licence (Essential)

0026 – Work in compliance with fuel storage and dispensing sites (Desirable) - Strong documentation management and computer skills
