Shipping Inspector Specialist; USIC

Position: Shipping Inspector Specialist (USIC4)
SUMMARY:

The Shipping Inspector Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all outgoing aviation accessories/components, and materials meet regulatory, customer, and company requirements prior to shipment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance with FAA regulations and quality standards while supporting on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Perform shipping duties: verify P/N’s, obvious damage on units, shipping instructions, and shipping addresses, verify commercial invoices, (MS) Memo of Shipment, and proformas when shipped directly to third parties, create airway bills and inspection of customer’s crates prior to shipping final goods, send invoices, and contact carriers to schedule pickups.

Verify that Repair Orders (R.O.s) match materials being shipped out.

Review documentation for accuracy including airworthiness certifications (e.g. FAA 8130).Verify compliance with customer-specific shipping instructions and regulatory requirements.

Direct communication with customer service for incomplete documents, returns, and other discrepancies.

Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Associate’s degree2 years of relevant/technical experience OR an additional 2 years of specific work experience in lieu of degree

Working knowledge of FAA regulations.

Strong attention to detail.

Great verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to read, send, and execute instructions via email and memos.

Advanced proficiency with computers, working knowledge of word editing software, inventory sheets, and email management.

Working knowledge of shipping, receiving, and stocking practices for aviation parts.

Familiarity with aviation materials, including with part numbers, descriptions, and handling.

Ability to carry several assignments at the same time and deliver positive results.

Adjust to continuous change, ability to shift focus to new task while keeping productivity and without losing sight of general goals.

Self-initiated, able to complete needed work and/or identify areas that require work.

Dependable, completion of all assigned tasks and maintain good attendance.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:5+ years of warehouse experience

Previous experience in an aviation MRO environment.

OTHER:
