DW Sisters LLC is placing a Travel Nuclear Medicine Technician with Trinity Health in Athens, Georgia. This is a specialized contract position requiring active NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification and hands‑on radio pharmaceutical handling experience.
Responsibilities- Maintain and operate gamma cameras to detect and map radioactive drugs and create diagnostic images
- Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals per established protocols
- Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately
- Follow all radiation safety procedures and regulatory guidelines
- Ensure prompt, high‑quality PACS image submission with correct lead markers and patient data
- Monitor equipment functioning and apply lockout/tagout procedures as appropriate
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department
- NMTCB certification or ARRT (N) certification — active and in good standing (required)
- 2+ years of Nuclear Medicine Technology experience
- Radiopharmaceutical handling experience (ordering, preparation, administration, disposal)
- Gamma camera and PACS imaging proficiency
- Working knowledge of radiation safety regulations
- Georgia state licensure or ability to obtain quickly
- Travel nuclear medicine tech experience preferred
- PET/CT imaging experience
- Hot lab operations and radiopharmacy protocol experience
- Multi-modality imaging (SPECT, PET)
