Position SummaryThe HR Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to the human resource department. The individual in this role may be involved in: recruitment, payroll administration and any other area of human resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provides support for the recruiting process (e.g., schedule interviews, send background checks, attend job fairs/recruitment events as needed, drug tests and contact selected candidates).
- Coordinates the new hire orientation process (e.g., scheduling the orientation, preparing orientation paperwork, and creating the employee files), including I‑9 completion/compliance.
- Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
- Provides support on auditing, review and processing the paperwork and forms.
- Participates in special projects and initiatives, to include engagement, job fairs and HR Assessments.
- Must maintain confidentiality and perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Supports company Open Enrollment period to ensure smooth processing.
- Supports Payroll processing.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities Education & Experience- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 year of Human Resources/payroll/clerical experience preferred.
- Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months which can range from mild to moderate.
