POSITION SUMMARYThe HR Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to the human resource department. The individual in this role may be involved in recruitment, payroll administration and any other area of human resources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Provides support for the recruiting process (e.g., schedule interviews, sending background checks, attending job fairs/recruitment events as needed, drug tests and contacting select candidates).
- Coordinates the new hire orientation process (e.g., scheduling the orientation, preparing orientation paperwork, and creating the employee files), including I-9 completion/compliance.
- Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
- Provides support on auditing, review and processing the paperwork and forms.
- Participates in special projects and initiatives, to include engagement, job fairs and HR Assessments.
- Must maintain confidentiality and perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Supports company Open Enrollment period to ensure smooth processing.
- Supports Payroll processing.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.

SKILLS & ABILITIES Education & Experience- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 year of Human Resources/payroll/clerical experience preferred.
- Microsoft Office

- High level of interpersonal and communication skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.

COMPENSATIONExpected base pay range: $25.00 - $28.00 hourly. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
