Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at the client site in Kentucky The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development particularly in C Pro C C Plus Plus and UNIX environments This role requires a proactive individual who can contribute to the design development and implementation of software solutions with a focus on enhancing our MMIS Medicaid Management Information System capabilities

Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain software applications using C C Plus Plus and Pro C in UNIX and Linux environments
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Write efficient SQL queries for database management and data manipulation
• Utilize shell scripting to automate processes and improve system performance
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues, providing timely resolutions
• Contribute to the documentation of software designs processes and user manuals
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance software development practices

Mandatory Skills

• 10 years of experience in below skills
• Proficiency in C C Plus Plus and Pro C programming languages
• Strong experience with UNIX operating systems expertise in HPUX and Linux is highly desirable
• Solid understanding of SQL for database interactions
• Experience with shell scripting for automation and process improvement
• Familiarity with the MMIS domain is must

Preferred Skills

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
