What you’ll do here

• Safely and accurately ship product to Cengage Learning customers.
• Perform systematic and manual processing of international and domestic shipments from the domestic shipping department, including safe and proper usage of powered industrial trucks (PIT).
• Interact with truck drivers for loading of freight and signing of Bills of Lading.
• Stage cartons as designated by deliveries.
• QC/prep pallets to wrap.
• Build, wrap, load and stage orders for the customer.
• Process full case at induction.
• Craft UPS and Fed Ex shipments.
• Continuously lift, push, pull up to 40 lb to return individual units to appropriate locations, and lift, push, pull, relocate packages up to 50 lb as required.
• Cross–train in various departments within the distribution center.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• At least 16 years of age.
• Skill in site recognition/matching of numeric and alpha groupings.
• Ability to comprehend simple instructions.
• Legible handwriting.
• Basic math skills.
• Flexibility with work hours.
• Basic computer experience.
• Ability to stand and walk for 8–10 hours.
• Follow all safety practices and policies.
• Prior PIT experience (preferred).
• Prior RF experience (preferred).
• Prior distribution experience (preferred).

Base pay: $16.00 – $20.00 USD per hour. Base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Total rewards include a comprehensive package designed to support and empower employees.
