Senior Accountant

Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant has a broad base of duties; responsible for general accounting, journal entries, fixed asset reporting, general ledger account analysis and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a broad base of accounting knowledge, enjoy variety & learning and have strong communication skills.

• Prepare month-end journal entries and month-end / annual close procedures
• Perform monthly account reconciliations, bank & balance sheet accounts
• Accounting for fixed asset capitalization
• Record & report on company fixed assets and depreciation records
• Provide analysis & assist in annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Part of team for new ERP system
• Assist with the development and on-going maintenance of dashboard reporting, flash reports, KPIs, financial metrics and ratios and other relevant reporting
• Compile, review, and complete periodic state sales and use tax reports and payments
• Work with Controller in various special projects
• Review processes involving but not limited to: internal procedures and controls, reporting through use of new ERP system and other tools, and other areas as needed to drive efficiencies and improvements
• Assist with external audit

Provide ideas / insights to improve processes / procedures

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting / Finance
• 2-5 years of general Accounting experience.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (within manufacturing or distribution is a plus)
• Attention to detail as well as analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Works effectively and independently in a dynamic, fast paced, team environment and adapts to change.
• Ability to adapt to change and learn new processes
