Lead Technician

Bridgestone Retail Operations is a leading tire and automotive service company located in Nashville, Tennessee. We are seeking a Lead Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles, mentor junior technicians, and provide excellent customer service.

Compensation
  • Pay Range: $26.51 – $48.16 hourly; flat‑rate pay for performance‑based tasks.
  • $2,000 sign‑on bonus for first‑time hires.
Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair drivability and electrical systems, including brakes, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
  • Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non‑mechanical customers with clarity.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
  • Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
  • Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least five of A1–A8 within the first two years of employment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid automobile driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles.
  • Proficiency in brakes diagnosis/repair, alignment, steering & suspension diagnosis/repair, and general automotive maintenance & tire repair.
  • Current federal, state, and local certification/license where applicable.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey information to non‑technical people.
  • Reading, writing, and math proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of electrical/electronic systems, engine repair & performance, automatic transmission/transaxle, manual drivetrain/transmission, and automotive heating/AC.
  • 5+ years of automotive repair experience with demonstrated skills via third‑party assessments or certifications.
  • A.S.E. certification in at least three of A1–A8 (L1 can be one of the three – Brakes and Steering & Suspension ASEs preferred).
