Advancement Services Manager

Position Summary

The Advancement Services Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational infrastructure of the Advancement Department, ensuring the effective management of data, systems, and processes that support fundraising and engagement efforts. This role directly manages gift processing, maintains data integrity, ensures compliance with regulations, and provides strategic insights through reporting and analysis. The Advancement Services Manager plays a critical role in enabling the department to achieve its mission by delivering accurate data, streamlined processes, and informed decision‑making support.

• Manage and optimize all Advancement data platforms and systems, including, but not limited to Raiser’s Edge, One Cause, Give Campus, and Greater Giving
• Maintain accuracy, consistency, and integrity of donor and constituent data
• Develop, implement, and maintain Advancement Services policies and procedures

• Process all charitable gifts, including entry, acknowledgment, and recording
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all gift transactions
• Maintain compliance with legal, financial, and institutional regulations and standards
• Prepare and maintain documentation to support audits and reporting requirements

• Conduct prospect research and wealth screening to support fundraising strategy
• Generate and analyze reports to inform decision‑making and track performance
• Provide data‑driven insights to leadership and frontline fundraisers

• Partner closely with frontline fundraisers, alumni relations, events, marketing, and business office teams
• Provide data, reporting, and operational support to advance departmental goals
• Contribute a strategic perspective to departmental planning and decision‑making

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Hands‑on experience in constituent and gift entry in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge Unified View/Web View (coupled with Database View experience) is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles will be considered a plus
• Demonstrated experience in nonprofit operations, database management, or advancement services
• Strong understanding of fundraising operations and donor data systems
• Knowledge of gift processing standards, compliance, and reporting practices
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
