Construction Trades - CTC Program At Fort Osage Main Campus
Are you ready to lay the groundwork for a rewarding career in construction? Our Construction Trades Technology program is available to 11th and 12th-grade students eager to learn the step-by-step procedures for building a house or similar structures, which may even be sold on the open market. Through hands-on training, you'll gain essential skills in tools and safety, blueprint reading, wall framing, roofing, stairway construction, and both interior and exterior trim and finishes.
With mentorship from the Mid-America Regional Council and Carpenters Local 1127, you'll receive industry insights that will elevate your learning experience.
By the end of this program, you'll be well-prepared to enter the building trades industry or pursue further education in Architectural Studies, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management. This field is one of the fastest-growing career paths for new graduates in the Kansas City area, offering numerous opportunities for success. Plus, advanced apprenticeships may be available upon completion of the program, allowing you to continue honing your skills in a professional setting.
