Senior Mechanical Estimator

• Assist throughout the preconstruction process by leading conceptual estimating efforts to produce accurate construction cost budgets and estimates.
• Focus on MEP costs and provide input to conceptualize and interpret the scope from incomplete or schematic documents.
• Supervise, check work, and mentor Estimators and Estimating Engineers.
• Develop and oversee conceptual estimates for assigned projects, support planning and engineering groups in the development of all levels of estimates, and collect and analyze close-out and benchmark data.
• Lead major estimating efforts.
• Develop and clarify estimate reports.
• Cultivate strong subcontractor knowledge and relations.
• Present estimating results to clients and stakeholders.
• Demonstrate knowledge of all civil structure architectural trades.
• Compete at conceptual and detailed levels of estimating.
• Demonstrate value engineering leadership and tracking.

• Consult with architects and engineers on project parameters.
• Ensure database-pricing updates are completed.

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related job field.
• Eight (8) years of estimating experience in construction or related job field.
• Capability to complete large Construction Management (CM) and General Contractor (GC) Construction Management at Risk and Design Build projects and large complex competitive bid projects.
• Independent sales strengths for presentations and project pursuits.
• History of successfully working relationships with the internal operation team and externally with owners, architects/engineers, and subcontractors.
• Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Demonstrates expertise in conceptual estimating and cost budgeting for construction projects, with a strong focus on MEP costs and the ability to lead and mentor teams. Proven track record in developing accurate estimates, cultivating subcontractor relationships, and presenting results to stakeholders.
