Position SummaryThe Project Manager will lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, overseeing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, documentation, client communication, and field coordination. This role is ideal for a proactive construction professional who can manage multiple priorities, build strong relationships, and drive projects to successful completion.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all phases of commercial construction projects from planning through final closeout
- Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules, budgets, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and contracts
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal field teams
- Lead project meetings and provide clear updates on schedule, budget, risks, and milestones
- Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project documents for accuracy and completeness
- Track costs, forecast project financials, and support billing and pay application processes
- Ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Identify and resolve project issues before they impact schedule or client satisfaction
- Support estimating, bidding, buyout, and preconstruction efforts as needed
- Maintain strong client relationships and represent the company professionally in all project interactions
- 5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction preferred
- Experience with general contracting, tenant improvement, interior build-out, or ground-up commercial projects
- Previous public works project experience a big plus
- Strong knowledge of construction documents, contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination
- Ability to manage multiple projects or complex scopes simultaneously
- Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with construction management software, Microsoft Office, and scheduling tools
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience will be considered
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to project sites
