Improve the lives of others while Caring. Connecting. Growing together. You are a Patient Support Center Representative covered in the Eastern, Central, or Mountain Time Zones. This full‑time role (40 hours per week) is remote with a flexible schedule to support 24/7 operations.
Primary Responsibilities- Meet performance goals in patient satisfaction, accuracy, quality, and attendance.
- Adhere to departmental metrics and daily adherence evaluation.
- Demonstrate superior customer service skills with internal and external customers.
- Multi‑task using double monitors for data entry, phone etiquette, and resource use while following guidelines.
- Act as patient advocate, exchanging complex and sensitive information securely.
- Assist colleagues and supervisors with daily paperwork to resolve patient issues.
- Identify financial, medical, and legal risks during interactions and follow procedures.
- Use Optum systems to resolve needs such as appointments, authorizations, claims, eligibility, benefits, appeals, and TARs.
- Translate oral information into concise, accurate written documentation.
- Assist new or potential members in PCP selection and provide general medical group information.
- Coordinate with clinicians and Telehealth Nurses (e.g., arranging DME, transportation, and HH).
- Enter PCP changes into the system and process necessary paperwork.
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- 2+ years in a customer‑service‑based role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and navigating multiple chat channels within Microsoft Teams.
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM.
- Availability for full‑time, 8‑hour shifts Monday‑Friday during 7:00 am‑7:00 pm Pacific, including occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- 1+ years working in a healthcare setting.
- 1+ years in a call center environment.
- Experience in a virtual environment.
- Experience working with multiple computer screens while speaking to customers.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
- Reside in Eastern, Central, or Mountain Time Zones.
- Keep all company‑sensitive documents secure.
- Maintain a dedicated, private work area separated from living spaces.
- Have a high‑speed internet connection approved by United Health Group.
Five weeks of paid on‑the‑job training. Salary ranges from $16 to $29 per hour and is based on local market, experience, and qualifications. Other benefits include a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase plan, and 401(k) contribution.
