We’re partnering with a growing engineering consultancy seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of commercial building projects across multiple sectors including healthcare, education, industrial, mixed use, and municipal infrastructure.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning projects, working directly with clients and architects, and contributing across the full project lifecycle from design through construction support.
What You’ll Be Doing- Design electrical power distribution, lighting, low voltage, and auxiliary systems for commercial and institutional facilities
- Develop construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using Revit and AutoCAD
- Coordinate with mechanical, civil, structural, and architectural teams throughout project execution
- Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling efforts
- Perform site visits, field investigations, and construction administration activities
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and contractor submittals
- Participate in client meetings and provide technical guidance throughout project delivery
- Mentor junior designers and engineers as needed
- 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering within consulting engineering, MEP, or building systems environments
- Experience supporting projects in healthcare, higher education, municipal, commercial, industrial, or public sector facilities
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes and electrical system design standards
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience with lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- PE license strongly preferred or ability to obtain
- Experience in consulting engineering or building systems design environments preferred
- Hybrid flexibility available depending on experience level
