G&W Engineering Corporation was founded in 1992 as a full-service Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection design firm. As G&W has evolved over the past 31 years, we have expanded our services to include Facilities Condition Assessments, Enclosure Consulting, Commissioning & Retro-Cx, Transportation, Municipal, Structural and Civil Engineering. In addition, G&W has developed an extensive project portfolio portraying our work in 47 states on a variety of project types.
G&W has grown tremendously over the years, but the one thing that has not changed is the constant drive to provide quality documents and satisfied clients.
- Design Development: Prepare engineering analysis including preliminary design, final design, and calculations. Develop drawings, layouts, and visual aids using computer-assisted design/drafting software. Formulate realistic parameters for each project, including design elements and implementation procedures.
- Analysis: Analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and related data to determine design factors. Present design ideas based on factors such as design-function relationships, serviceability, and client specifications.
- Field Work: Conduct surveys to gather field data.
- Collaboration: Work within a multi-disciplined team. Support both administrative and design engineering activities as assigned by supervisor.
- Quality Control: Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, adopted engineering standards, and good engineering practices.
Qualifications of this role include a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with 3 to 5 years of project experience in Site Civil Engineering. Desired design experience should include, in whole or in part, commercial development design, residential development design, grading plans, utility design, stormwater management design and hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater pollution prevention plans, and other site development features.
