• The unit secretary is responsible and accountable for the daily clerical operations of the nursing unit, performs receptionist duties and maintains supplies/equipment for the unit.
• The unit secretary participates in a positive patient experience including supporting RNs in the delivery of patient care items and providing meal companionship to patients.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification required upon hire.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and computer skills are required.
• Public contact and clerical experience preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple functions preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and multi-line phone preferred.

Centerpoint Medical Center is a 285+ bed hospital featuring state-of-the-art equipment and technology. Our hospital offers some of the latest clinical services available to patients.
