The Advanced Paramedic provides direct patient care, within the scope of the Paramedic/EMT Practice Act and under the direction of the Registered Nurse, in the Emergency Department. As an ER Advanced Paramedic, you perform a variety of functions for patients requiring urgent or emergency attention. We are an amazing team, that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you, who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

• You will assist with obtaining and documentation of vital signs and placement of oxygen saturation, cardiac monitoring, and non‑invasive blood pressure monitoring systems.
• You will assist with other technical functions such as: obtaining 12‑lead EKGs, discontinuation of peripheral IV and heparin/saline locks and maintenance and care of specimens for laboratory analysis.
• You will assist with patient care and treatments including positioning patients, application of sterile dressings, immobilization of extremities, cast and splint applications.
• You will complete basic psychomotor skills and activities related to care.
• You will assist with wound care, insertion of Foley catheters and nasogastric tubes.
• You will report and document vital signs, test results, procedures and pertinent data in concise and timely manner.
• You will clean and stock carts, rooms, and change linen as required.
• You will provide written instructions and/or educational materials to patients and family members.

• Current licensure in the State as a Paramedic. EMT‑P required
• Emergency Medical Paramedic (EMP)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a field Paramedic with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience working in a hospital
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
