• Live our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Take direction from the Pharmacy Manager and oversee the pharmacy as their proxy during bench shifts, including coaching the team and providing feedback on performance.
• Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails at every workstation.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, collaborating with the patient’s total healthcare team, and resolving insurance and/or medication issues.
• Proactively offer and deliver immunizations and engage Pharmacy Technicians to support immunization efforts.
• Support effective management of pharmacy inventory with a focus on protecting cold chain products.
• Partner with the Pharmacy Manager to ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and escalate issues as needed.
• Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs while maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging team environment; assist with writing the pharmacy schedule as directed.
• Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills, including required trainings and CMEs, and seek opportunities to expand knowledge to support patients.
• Support access to care and patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care (e.g., testing and prescribing services where permissible).
• Understand and comply with all applicable federal and state laws, regulations, professional standards, ethical principles, CVS Health policies, and controlled substance dispensing and recordkeeping practices to protect patient privacy and a safe workplace.

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Attention and Focus: concentrate on tasks; ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
• Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety.

• 1-2 years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
• Ability to work at other locations across the market as needed.
