About the Job 1840 & Company is seeking an experienced U.S. Recruitment Manager to lead recruiting delivery for high-volume and professional hiring initiatives across the United States. This strategic leadership role will oversee a team of U.S. recruiters while managing the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing through hiring. The position requires a hands-on recruiting leader who can balance team management with direct recruiting activities to meet aggressive client hiring requirements.
The U.S. Recruitment Manager will be responsible for leading recruiting strategy, team performance, and delivery excellence across multiple concurrent hiring initiatives. This role will partner closely with centralized recruiting resources in Latin America to optimize sourcing, screening, and scheduling support, while maintaining accountability for end-to-end recruitment outcomes. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership capabilities with deep recruiting expertise and can drive results in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Success in this role requires someone who can build and scale recruiting operations, develop talent pipelines, optimize recruiting processes, and deliver measurable results. The U.S. Recruitment Manager will work closely with client-facing leaders and the Managing Director to understand workforce requirements and translate them into effective recruiting plans. Bachelors - Qualification:
- 5+ years of U.S. recruiting experience, including at least 2–3 years managing recruiters or recruiting teams.
- Demonstrated experience leading high-volume recruiting programs with aggressive hiring deadlines.
- Strong hands-on experience with candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous hiring projects across different U.S. markets.
- Experience developing sourcing strategies and building candidate pipelines from the ground up.
- Experience recruiting across multiple job categories, preferably including technology, AI/data, professional, customer service, operations, or high-volume roles.
- Strong understanding of recruiting funnels, conversion metrics, capacity planning, and recruiter productivity.
- Experience working with centralized or offshore recruiting teams preferred.
- Strong proficiency with ATS platforms, Linked In Recruiter, job boards, sourcing tools, and recruiting analytics.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be located in or able to work from the Kansas City metropolitan area.

- Lead, coach, and manage the U.S. recruiting team, including workload allocation, performance management, productivity optimization, and accountability for hiring results
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate qualification, client submission, selection, offer management, and hiring across multiple U.S. markets
- Personally source, screen, and interview candidates when required by hiring volume, specialized positions, or urgent client needs to ensure delivery commitments are met
- Partner with LATAM recruiting resources to establish sourcing strategies, screening criteria, candidate requirements, and delivery expectations while maintaining quality standards
- Develop and execute recruiting strategies for multiple concurrent high-volume hiring initiatives, building and maintaining qualified candidate pipelines for current and anticipated needs
