Salary Range: $62,000 - $67,000 annually

Organization Summary

DeafLEAD is seeking an experienced and compassionate full-time Information Technology and Compliance Specialist to join an exciting, supportive, and engaging team.

DeafLEAD is a non-profit organization that provides crisis intervention services to Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Late-Deafened, Deaf Blind, Deaf Disabled, and Deaf+ individuals and their families within the state of Missouri and nationwide. Our mission is to promote the emotional and physical well-being of consumers in a safe and respectful environment utilizing a consumer-centered, trauma-informed approach.

We are committed to providing a variety of services to effectively meet the changing needs within the Deaf community. These services include (but are not limited to): crisis intervention, safety planning, legal/medical/personal advocacy, case management, crisis videophone/text/chat/hotline services, mental health services, training, and interpreting.

DeafLEAD offers crisis services 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Essential Functions
  • Follow DeafLEAD’s policies and procedures.
  • Believe in DeafLEAD’s philosophy and goals as stated in Summary of Organization.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the IT function, including user support, system maintenance, and issue resolution for staff.
  • Support the administration and maintenance of Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint, Teams, One Drive, and related collaboration tools.
  • Provide technical support for the development and maintenance of SharePoint sites, document libraries, lists, and workflows.
  • Assist in managing user access and system permissions, including onboarding, offboarding, and access updates in alignment with established processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of user accounts, system access, and technology assets, ensuring documentation is complete, current, and compliant with organizational standards.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of IT and compliance-related policies and procedures, including those related to data privacy, security, and system use.
  • Monitor and support compliance with data privacy and security requirements (e.g., HIPAA, 988 Lifeline standards, and accreditation requirements), identifying gaps and escalating concerns as needed.
  • Assist in conducting internal compliance reviews and audits, ensuring required documentation, records, and evidence are maintained and accessible.
  • Support the investigation and documentation of security incidents, privacy concerns, or compliance issues, and assist in implementing corrective actions.
  • Track and maintain completion of required trainings, including cybersecurity and compliance-related trainings, ensuring staff adherence and proper documentation.
  • Support the IT Manager in maintaining cybersecurity practices, including reinforcing expectations and assisting with staff awareness efforts.
  • Assist in preparing and organizing documentation for audits, accreditation, and external reporting requirements, ensuring readiness and accuracy.
  • Provide input on recurring technical or compliance issues and support the implementation of proactive solutions and process improvements.
  • Communicate clearly with staff regarding IT processes, security expectations, and compliance requirements, providing accessible guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with IT staff and leadership to ensure alignment between technology practices and organizational policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure proper handling of sensitive data and protected information in accordance with applicable regulations and organizational policies.
  • Participate in required meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support IT operations and organizational compliance efforts.
Qualifications
  • Must complete all required crisis line trainings (minimum 100 hours) upon hire.
  • Minimum age 18.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
