Job Description
Base Pay starts at $19.00 per hour.
1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
A Production Machine Operator is one of the key members of our production team. Daily responsibilities include safely operating metal folding machines, roll forming machines, coil slitters, and rewind machines. The finished product is quality trim and panel (roof and wall) products.
Duties and Responsibilities- Operating roll forming equipment to produce roofing panels
- Operating a metal folding machine to produce trim for metal roof and side panels
- Operating coil slitting and rewind equipment.
- Checking and visually inspecting produced product against specifications to ensure a defect free product has been produced.
- Operating a forklift for positioning coils at un-coiler and movement of skidded coil and finished goods materials.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment and assisting in other departments as needed.
- Utilizing a handheld computer to make production entries.
- Being a “Team Player” to get Production completed on time and without defects.
- Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment with metal fabrication a plus.
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to work independently and with others
- The desire to help a team “WIN” every day.
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to read, hear, talk, drive lift trucks, wear PPE, and lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively
- Must be able to stand or walk approximately 7 ½ hours minimum per work shift
- Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes in the winter and summer months
- Noise level is moderate to loud
