Position Title:

General Shop Laborer

Wage: $18.00-$20.00/hour

Shift: 1st — 5:00am-3:30pm (Monday-Thursday)

We are seeking a dependable and motivated General Shop Laborer to join a manufacturing company in Independence, MO. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to learn and grow in a hands‑on fabrication environment. 1st and 2nd shift opportunities are available. The ideal candidate will assist machine operators, support production, and learn to operate various shop equipment while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

• Assist machine operators with daily production tasks and material handling
• Learn to operate manufacturing equipment, including fiber lasers, press brakes, and other fabrication machinery
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Perform fabrication and assembly of parts and products
• Hand pick, sort, package, and prepare finished products for shipment
• Operate sanders, soldering equipment, and other finishing tools as needed
• Load, unload, and move materials throughout the shop
• Perform basic machine setup
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned
• Potential to train and become certified to operate a forklift

• Manufacturing or shop experience is preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and stand for extended periods
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
