Machine Operator

Starting Pay: $15.50 per Hour

Full-Time Position

Typical Schedule:
Four 10-Hour Shifts Per Week

Lockwood Packing Company is hiring a Machine Operator to join our RTE Production Department. As a Machine Operator, you'll help keep production moving by operating equipment used to process ready‑to‑eat snack stick products and prepare them for packaging.

This is a hands‑on position in a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment. Previous manufacturing, food production, or machine operation experience is helpful, but not required. We provide on‑the‑job training for dependable individuals who are ready to learn.

• Operate stick cutters, conveyors, cooling systems, and other production equipment
• Set up, start up, shut down, and adjust equipment based on production needs
• Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout the shift
• Feed products to the packaging line and keep production moving efficiently
• Make minor equipment adjustments as needed
• Report equipment, quality, or production concerns to your supervisor
• Verify product appearance and specifications
• Complete production records and documentation
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas
• Follow food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures
• Work with your team to meet daily production goals

• Basic mechanical aptitude is helpful
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous manufacturing, food production, or machine operation experience is helpful, but not required

• Stand and walk for up to 10 hours per shift
• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds
• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements throughout the shift
• Work in varying temperature environments, including refrigerated production areas
• Work around moving machinery, food processing equipment, wet floors, and production noise
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Overtime may be available based on production needs
• Work schedules may vary based on staffing and production demands
