Pastor Position Coventry Estates Baptist Church

We are prayerfully seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pastor to lead our congregation with integrity and a firm commitment to Southern Baptist traditions and values.

The ideal candidate will be a strong spiritual shepherd who teaches the true Word of God, providing biblical guidance, discipleship, and pastoral care to our church family.

This role requires a servant leader who is devoted to proclaiming the gospel, nurturing spiritual growth, and strengthening our community through faith and fellowship.

We are a warm, Bible-believing Southern Baptist congregation located in Independence, Missouri. Our fellowship is united by a deep love for God’s Word, a steadfast commitment to prayer, and a strong desire to see lives transformed through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our church family has a heart for biblical prophecy and a deep love for Israel, understanding its central role in God’s plan of redemption. • Sound Doctrine:
  Preach biblically sound, Christ-centered sermons that uphold Southern Baptist beliefs, include teaching on prophecy, and foster a deeper understanding of God’s plan for the future.
• Biblical Worldview:
  Teach and lead with a deep love for Israel, recognizing its significance in God’s Word and redemptive history.
• Christian Counseling:
  Provide scriptural guidance and comfort to individuals and families, offering biblical solutions to life’s challenges.
• Shepherding & Mentorship:
  Walk alongside members in their spiritual journey, discipling and encouraging them to grow in faith and service.
• Ministry & Event Oversight:
  Organize and oversee church ministries, programs, and events that support the church’s mission and meet the needs of the congregation and community.
• Unity & Biblical Conflict Resolution:
  Foster unity by guiding the church through Scripture-based conflict resolution and encouraging a culture of love, grace, and reconciliation.

  Work closely with church members and leadership teams to develop outreach efforts, discipleship programs, and ministry goals in harmony with the church’s vision.
• Crisis Intervention & Pastoral Care:
  Offer compassionate pastoral care during times of illness, loss, or crisis, being present and prayerful in moments of need.
• Outreach & Evangelism:
  Engage with the local community to share the gospel, build relationships, and invite others into the fellowship of the church.

• Proven experience as a pastor in a Southern Baptist church setting is preferred.
• Strong biblical knowledge and a passion for teaching God’s Word with clarity and conviction. Our church enjoys an emphasis on prophecy.
• Experience in Christian counseling, discipleship, and mentoring individuals in their spiritual walk.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with a heart for building strong relationships within the church and the broader community.
• Skills in conflict resolution and crisis intervention, rooted in biblical principles.
• A commitment to personal spiritual growth, prayer, and continued theological education.
