Organizer - St. Joseph, MO JOB DESCRIPTION
Salary and Benefits: $50, per year, 100% employer paid health insurance, paid vacation and sick days, employer funded FSA, phone stipend, and travel expenses reimbursed.
The Position
The St. Joseph organizing position is a one‑year grant‑funded position. The organizer will be responsible for identifying individuals and institutions who support advancing a family supporting economic agenda. A family and worker centered economy is one that recognizes workers as the drivers of the economy and invests in them through policies such as fair wages, good benefits, and a strong social safety net that prioritizes health, development and opportunity.
The Organizer will also help build local coalition/tables to help inform and build local support for the agenda and mobilize them into collective action to advance the agenda.
This position will be working with and through the Missouri ECOSYS partners to strengthen the existing organizational advocacy infrastructure and build community power and infrastructure in an under‑organized area of the state.
