Responsibilities
Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) – New Behavioral Health Hospital opening 2026.
As a key member of the start‑up senior leadership team, the CNO will design, implement and coordinate a patient‑centric nursing strategy focused on high‑quality, cost‑effective care. The CNO will partner on strategic planning while driving the following areas:
People, Service, Quality, Growth and Finance.
The new Three Trails Behavioral Hospital will serve patients of all ages with innovative, evidence‑based inpatient behavioral healthcare, feature 120 licensed beds, 88,000 sq. ft. of space, an activity yard and gym, and create more than 200 new, full‑time jobs across nursing, clinical, therapeutic and administrative disciplines. Job Requirements- Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of Missouri.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited program;
Master of Science in Nursing strongly preferred. - Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
- Extensive knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities.
- Proven management and supervisory skills with strong written and verbal communication.
- Three or more years of progressive nursing management experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
- Ability to plan, direct and monitor team activities, fostering a positive work environment.
