Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate nursing services under the Vice President of Nursing.
- Provide direct supervision to clinical nursing managers and other nursing staff as assigned.
- Assist the Vice President of Nursing in scheduling, educational training, supervising, and evaluating nursing staff.
- Provide coaching and immediate feedback to staff as necessary for growth, including corrective action in coordination with Human Resources.
- Offer nursing staff support to troubleshoot client/staff issues in collaboration with the Vice President of Nursing.
- Evaluate departmental performance and recommend performance improvement suggestions.
- Manage supervised staff time and ensure appropriate staffing coverage in the Workday system.
- Assist with Telehealth functions in the clinical setting when requested.
- Provide after-hours on-call nursing support and leadership as needed.
- Develop documentation requirements for nursing areas to meet regulatory compliance.
- Review nursing incident reports and escalate as needed.
Education, Experience, and/or Credential
Qualifications:
- Nurse (LPN or RN) with 5 or more years of clinical experience preferred.
- BSN preferred.
- Prefer candidates who have served as a nurse supervisor for 3 to 5 years.
Additional Qualifications:
- Successful completion of background checks including criminal record, driving record, and abuse/neglect checks.
- Must maintain active professional licensure and complete all training requirements.
- Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance are required.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
- Heavy work:
This job requires exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects. - Requires significant walking, standing, or sitting while using controls.
- Must be able to navigate stairs and have good vision, including close and distance vision.
