Assistant Nurse Manager, Centralized Telemetry Unit
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Nurse Manager to support daily operations and lead a diverse team in our Centralized Telemetry Unit located on‑site at The Commons. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader, comfortable navigating multiple systems such as Epic, and skilled at motivating teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high‑quality patient care.

- $15,000 sign‑on bonus eligible*

- Flexible day schedule: 5 8‑hour shifts or 4 10‑hour shifts
- Leadership rotation call
- 2+ years of relevant RN experience required

Centralized Telemetry is a department where trained monitor technicians observe and analyze various heart rhythms of patients who are admitted to the Centralized Telemetry Monitoring system at BJH North, South, and West County. Technicians maintain constant communication with nursing staff regarding rhythm changes, call codes for lethal rhythms, and support patient safety.
Responsibilities- Coordinate patient care, personnel management, maintenance of equipment, equipment purchase, and statistical accumulation.
- Manage individuals, including hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and conducting professional development plans. Ensure team productivity supports departmental goals.
- Participate in the development and adherence to departmental staffing, revenue, and expense budgets, responding to business changes that affect budget achievement.
- Provide and oversee patient care according to planned interventions, addressing age and developmental needs to attain optimal wellness, and document care per policy.
- Create and implement a collaborative plan of care based on assessment, diagnosis, and medical treatment.
- Review staff hours versus scheduled hours, determine appropriate disposition, approve daily payroll updates, reconcile time cards and bonuses, and provide coding approval.
- Prepare, coordinate, and execute all staff communications; prepare huddle agendas and lead meetings. Determine staffing needs, assign overtime, recommend annual increases, interview for open positions, and conduct performance reviews.
- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend areas for improvement.
- Maintain a constant state of alertness as a safety‑sensitive position and work safely at all times.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- 2 to 5 years of RN experience
- No prior supervisory experience required
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 5 to 10 years of RN experience
- Less than 2 years of supervisory experience
